Havana, Nov. 20 (ACN) Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Rafael Fernández de Cossío denounced on his Facebook profile that Cuba has for decades faced different ways of US aggression, including military threats and acts of terrorism.
The deputy minister referred to what he called counterrevolutionary digital platforms such as El Toque, which are part of mechanisms of aggression, as they are financed and directed from abroad with aims of economic sabotage.
De Cossio recalled actions like assassination attempts against leaders, the introduction of biological agents, the burning of crops, and bomb attacks against Cuban diplomatic and commercial facilities abroad.
The official recalled that the US migration policy was also used as an instrument of destabilization, and that the economic, commercial, and financial blockade against the Island constitutes a permanent weapon, complemented by pressure and coercion on companies and governments of third countries.
Fernández de Cossío Domínguez reiterated that Washington’s policy, sustained by its financial hegemony, has shown the ability to destabilize even developed economies, and he warned about its effects on countries such as Cuba.
