HAVANA, Cuba, November 6 (ACN) – Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz held meeting on Wednesday with Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, Qatar's Minister of State for International Cooperation, to express his gratitude for the organization of initial aid consisting of food supplies for the Cuban provinces affected by Hurricane Melissa.
The meeting was described as "very positive" and is part of the bilateral cooperation efforts to address the damage caused by the hurricane in the eastern region of the country. Cuban premier said on X.
Marrero Cruz, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, is participating at the 2nd World Summit for Social Development, where the Doha Political Declaration was adopted.
The summit brings together more than 14,000 participants, including 40 Heads of State and Government.
