Havana, Oct 21 (ACN) The Cuban Meteorology Institute (INSMET) announced the development on Tuesday of Melissa tropical storm in the central-eastern Caribbean area. This is the 13th storm formed during the current Atlantic Hurricane Season which runs June 1st-November 30th.
Melisa maintains sustained maximum 85-kilometer winds with higher gusts and moves westwards at 22 kms/h, according to INSMET advisory one.
The cyclone is expected to be at a lower speed as it gradually moves northeast and will keep slow movement on the central Caribbean Sea.
Ocean and atmospheric conditions are expected to favor the intensification of the storm, which will represent a potential danger for this region.
