Diaz-Canel held exchanges with Vietnamese businessmen



HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 2 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and president of the country, held talks with business leaders from that country, as part of an official visit that is part of a tour of Asia.

According to the Cuban Presidency's Office on X, representatives from companies in sectors such as construction, trade, tourism, biotechnology, and the food industry were in attendance, as well as Vietnamese PM Pham Minh Chinh.
The head of state affirmed that Cuba is open to strengthening relations in all fields.

He emphasized the island's willingness to evaluate all proposals, referring particularly to the areas of consumer goods.

Diaz-Canel also praised successful projects between the two countries, such as rice production and biotechnology.

For his part, Oscar Pérez-Oliva , Cuban minister of foreign trade and investment, , called for increased participation by Vietnamese businesspeople in Cuba's economic development, for which opportunities have been provided and full attention is being paid.

In addition, Vietnamese Prime Minister called on businesspeople from both nations to cooperate together in effective cooperation.We must give our full effort, our wisdom, and our determination to give everything for Cuba, Pham Minh Chinh affirmed.

Cuban delegation is spending its third day in Vietnam this Tuesday, arriving on Sunday accompanied by a high-level delegation, responding to the invitation of the Party and Government to participate at the event commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and the Declaration of Independence (September 2, 1945).
