SANTA CLARA, Cuba, August 26 (ACN) During a working session, the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution (ACRC) reasserted its commitment to the ideological formation of new generations, focused on preserving the legacy of Fidel Castro Ruz (1926-2016).
ACRC president, Major General José Antonio Carrillo Gómez, highlighted the importance of introducing children and young people to the incomparable work of the Commander in Chief, historic leader of the Revolution.
In this regard, Susely Morfa González, first secretary of the Party in the province of Villa Clara, stressed the ACRC’s key role in preserving the knowledge of Cuban history and conveying to the new generations the values of the country’s past in order to build a better future.
The participants reaffirmed their duty as guarantors of patriotic education and assured that Fidel Castro's thoughts and legacy will continue to guide Cuban youth’s devotion to the island’s future.
The ACRC boasts 26,875 members assembled in 979 grassroots associations.
