Cuban President Appreciates Homage Placard for Fidel Castro in New York City

Havana, Aug 13 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel thanked The People’s Forum organization for having set up a light placard on a New York City street to homage the birthday of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz.

Thanks to the People’s Forum for this homage, which really moves and confirms the close and undeniable links between the peoples of Cuba and the United States, particularly in these days marked by rightist extremism and sick hatred against the world revolutionary ideas, wrote the head of state on X.

Also on X, the US organization wrote that from the New York streets they celebrate the 99th birthday of Fidel Castro. Fidel keeps alive among all those who fight to achieve a better world. His life recalls that dignity, sovereignty and solidarity are not only ideals, but battles to be waged and win.

The People's Forum wrote that they also mark this year the 100th birthday of Malcolm X, whom they called another unbreakable voice in favor of liberation, whose legacy keeps encouraging struggle in the US and around the world.
