Havana, Aug 7 (ACN) August 13 just opens celebrations for the 100 years with Fidel, said Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, as he recalled on X the legacy of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.
We cannot say that Fidel has been reborn ahead of his 99 birthday, because since 1926 Fidel has lived among us, Diaz-Canel wrote.
How nice are these days as we recall an infinite work like this one about the dignity of Cuba, the head of state said in reference to current actions in the country to mark Fidel’s birthday.
Cubans are involved developing a large program of activities to mark the 100th birthday of Fidel Castro (1926-2016) to promote the study of his work and thinking, strengthen national identity and mobilize new generations about his legacy.
The initiative runs from August 13, 2025 through December 4, 2026 with cultural, historical and educative actions through the island, with the participation of youths and all the people.
