HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 29 (ACN) Within the framework of the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament, which is taking place today in Geneva, Switzerland, the president of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Tulia Ackson, received Esteban Lazo, president of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba.
According to the Cuban legislature's report on X, the high-ranking IPU official welcomed the president of the Council of State upon his arrival in the Conference's headquarters, the Palace of Nations.
Lazo is participating at the General Debate Tuesday and is expected to participate in panels and other forums at the event, which will run until October 31.
According to information provided by the National Assembly of People's Power, the president of the Cuban Parliament will also hold bilateral meetings with parliamentary leaders from different nations, among other activities.
