HAVANA, Cuba, July 23 (ACN) The Cuban radio and TV program Mesa Redonda transmitted a special broadcast to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Telesur, the continental channel turned into a model of the battle for communications in Latin America.
According to its official website, the program hosted prominent figures linked to the birth and development of the multimedia company, including Telesur president Patricia Villegas and the Spanish intellectual and journalist Ignacio Ramonet, as well as Ernesto Villegas, Minister of Culture of Venezuela, and Rolando Segura, journalist and founder of the channel’s Cuban correspondent's office.
The live broadcast was made available through the TV channels Cubavisión, Cubavisión Internacional and Canal Caribe and the radio station Radio Habana Cuba, in addition to the YouTube channels and Facebook pages of Mesa Redonda, Cubadebate, and the Presidency.
