HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 18 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the country, attended today the third day of the 5th Session of the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP).
In the plenary hall of the Havana Convention Center and in the 10th Legislature of the highest state body, the progress of the main programs for the sustainable and comprehensive development of the province of Camagüey was presented this morning, along with everything implemented in line with the Government Program to correct distortions and boost the economy.
The report presented by Luis Enrique Sutil Sarabia, Governor of the territory, highlights that there are 67 actions aimed at transforming aspects such as cadre instability, non-compliance with the sugar harvest, combating crime, illegalities and abusive prices, and the lack of attention by some administrations to solving problems and, in general, maintaining ties with the grassroots.
Friday, the draft laws for the Cuban Sports System, the Code for Children, Adolescents, and Youth, and the Civil Registry, among other important issues, will be submitted for approval by Parliament.
