Cuba and China strengthen judicial ties



HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 18 (ACN) Ying Yong, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate's Office of the People's Republic of China, held exchange with Lisnay Maria Mederos Torres, Chief Prosecutor of the Havana Provincial Prosecutor's Office, and members of the entity's Board of Directors, as part of his current visit to Cuba.

A thread on X of the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Cuba (FGR by its Spanish acronym) highlights that the meeting highlighted the strength of bilateral ties between the two countries, based on brotherhood and mutual cooperation.

"I come to Cuba to continue our traditional friendship," said Ying, who positively valued these spaces for institutional dialogue.

For her part, Mederos Torres emphasized that the visit takes on special significance as it coincides with the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and China.

She also explained the functioning of the Havana Provincial Prosecutor's Office, emphasizing key processes and citizen service.

The prosecutor also addressed the enforcement of legality in homes for children and adolescents without parental care, as well as in senior care centers, as part of the commitment to protecting vulnerable groups.

The Director of Information Technology and Communications of the Attorney General's Office (FGR) presented the Information and Communications Technology Development Program, which includes digital transformation and cybersecurity actions, in line with the policies approved by the country.
