Havana, July 15 (ACN) Achieving real digital transition in Cuban society means reaching all Cuban homes, said Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel as he addressed Parliament commissions in session on Tuesday.
Speaking to lawmakers with the commissions on Education, Culture, Science, Technology and the Environment, the head of state said that the country will not reach full digital transition until the people get to use digital platforms in their own homes and in their everyday life, and for this there are crucial factors to address, like data organization and availability.
Diaz-Canel urged to organize databases, interconnect all state institutions as well as the citizens’ information to facilitate data management.
The lawmakers were briefed about the digital timetable as presented by Communication Minister Mayra Arevich, as the President insisted in the nee to an appropriate relationship between national and local programs.
He insisted in the need for continuous work to advance interconnections and networks to achieve the development needed in the country.lc
