International Meeting "Stories for an Ancient City" kicks off today in Havana

HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 15 (ACN) The International Meeting " Stories for an Ancient City 2025" kicks off today for its 15th edition in city parks with a variety of activities until next Sunday, July 20.

The first day of this event will include the Opening Gala, in the heart of the Plaza de Armas, where attendees will enjoy the talents of the Clara Narracion Project, Gamaliel Sandoval (Mexico), and A la Cuenta de tres, with Yordan Moracen (Mexico) as guest; it will close at the Bertolt Brecht Cultural Center with the "Cafe de Convivencia" space.

Starting tomorrow, Wednesday 16, the International Meeting will begin its program of theoretical events, this time with the theme "Oral Storytelling & Scenic Oral Storytelling," with the participation of Fermin Lopez (Cuba), Alma Rosa (Mexico), and Virginia Lopez (Cuba).

The general director of the international event and president of the organizing committee, Osvaldo Manuel Perez Peñalver, expressed that they are returning, as they have been for 15 years, to fill the squares and parks; and that there will be many voices to tell and share stories with families, with the colors of their voices and with words between the cobblestones.

Celebration and jubilation await this event, supported by the Havana Theater Center, the National Council of the Performing Arts, the Ruben Martinez Villena Provincial Library, the Office of the Historian of Havana, the Cuba Poesia and Bertolt Brecht cultural centers, Los Portales S.A., and the Jose Marti International Institute of Journalism.
