Diaz-Canel mourns death of Victor Fernandez, leader of CubaCoop

HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 7 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the country, mourned on X, the death of Victor Fernandez, president of the Cuba Cooperation France Association (CubaCoop).

In his message, the president wrote, "We deeply regret the death of our friend Victor Fernandez, president of the Cuba Cooperation France Association, who held the Medal of Friendship."

Diaz-Canel also stated in the text that Victor's legacy will be remembered as an example of commitment, solidarity, and friendship with Cuba.

Fernandez was a key figure in strengthening cooperation ties between Cuba and France, promoting local development projects, cultural exchanges, and solidarity actions from French civil society.
