Havana, June 24 (ACN) Havana will host the 15th International Convention on the Environment and Development, July 2-5 with the attendance of representatives from 10 countries.
The president of Cuba’s Environment Agency, Maritza Garcia, told reporters in Havana that the list of participants includes professionals from Argentina, Canada, Chile, Spain, the USA, Haiti, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Saint Lucia and Suriname.
Garcia added that some 700 Cuban experts along with 71 foreign specialists will be at hand at the forum, while the largest delegations come from the United States and Mexico.
The convention includes several congresses and colloquiums on different areas of interest as well as an exhibit of technology, projects and environmental experiences.
The Cuban Environment Agency, made up of 24 institutions, marked its 30th anniversary last March.
