HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 24 (ACN) The 1rst national symposium, Cuba Trabaja 2025, will kick off today until tomorrow, June 25, at the Havana Convention Center.
Panels, workshops, presentations, and keynote addresses, with high-level academic guests, are included in the program of event, organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security (MTSS by its Spanish acronym), along with the Cuban Social and Labor Observatory and the Center for Labor Studies.
Some 230 delegates from all over the country, including social workers, university students, researchers, economic stakeholders, and representatives of companies and organizations, will discuss human capital management, prevention and social work, social security, and the management of science and innovation for social transformation.
The MTSS will take the results and proposals into account to improve daily work and design policies for the benefit of the people, according to the symposium's Organizing Committee.
This meeting, the organization's most important for 2025, will take place under the motto "For Decent Work and Sustainable Social Development," both in terms of importance and the diversity of participants and topics on the agenda.
The World Food Programme (WFP), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have also supported in organizing the event.
