HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 16 (ACN) Participants in the 7th regional meeting of Cubans Residing in Latin America and the Caribbean agreed on Sunday in the Dominican Republic to maintain the permanent denunciation of the genocidal and inhumane blockade of the United States against their country.
Likewise, to demand the exclusion of Cuba from the list of countries that according to Washington sponsor terrorism and to repudiate the maximum pressure measures of Donald Trump's administration that affect families, among them the suspension of licenses for transactions with the company that receives remittances.
These agreements are part of the Action Plan approved at the regional meeting by almost a hundred delegates from 13 countries, Prensa Latina reported from Santo Domingo.
Enrique Portuondo, president of the Maximo Gomez Association of Cubans Residing in the Dominican Republic, read the document, which establishes the strengthening of the unity of Cubans who love their homeland.
In addition, to support the initiative of Cubans living in Mexico to promote an oil ship for Cuba on the 100th anniversary of the birth of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.
Likewise, to promote initiatives to continue disseminating history, patriotic values and national culture as a source of identity.
The delegates, representing the different associations, agreed to be spokespersons of the Cuban reality in the face of the media manipulation of the big information transnationals, to denounce in all forums the defamatory campaigns against their country, using social networks and other means.
The action plan includes the promotion and encouragement of training and preparation spaces for communication and the use of social networks, with the aim of increasing the dissemination of the truth about Cuba and the denunciation of the impact of the blockade.
They agreed to strengthen ties with Cuban diplomatic missions and to promote and expand relations with the Homeland, achieving greater participation and contribution to its economic development.
