Havana, June 10 (ACN) Cuban Young Communist League member Rachel Dominguez denounced in Brasilia the impact of the US blockade of Cuba and called for multilateralism as she affirmed the hope of Cuban youths in the BRICS alliance as a global alternative.
Addressing the 11th Youths Summit of the BRICS, bloc initially made up of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, and expanded later, Dominguez reaffirmed the Cuban youth’s commitment to peace, solidarity, South-South cooperation and the sovereignty of the nations in the face of what she described as neo-colonialist and supremacist intentions of the United States and its allies.
The BRICS are a concrete alternative to overcome global crises and build sustainable development, said the Cuban representative as cited by PL wire service.

She announced the upcoming International Youth Forum “Young Science” to take place in Havana in December, and she invited BRICS member states to participate in the forum.
