India and Cuba Willing to Boost Academic Cooperation



 Havana, June 10 (ACN) India’s ambassador to Cuba Armstrong Changsan expressed his country’s willingness to deepen scientific cooperation with Cuba during a visit Wednesday to the Santiago de Cuba university, in the eastern section of the island.

The Indian diplomat was interested in the Cuban development of science, technology and innovation and said that Cuban professionals could attend higher education courses in his country.

He referred to a digital financial services system in India known as Public Digital Infrastructure, which boosts the expansion of I.T. in society.

Santiago de Cuba university rector Diana Sedal briefed the visitor about the major advances of the center, its current and future projects adapted to Cuban society an also addressed the interest to boost academic exchange.

Sedal also referred to the benefits of a joint work to expand postgraduate and regular education and guarantee the participation of Cuban and Indian professionals in scientific forums.
