Havana, June 5 (ACN) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said that the new US presidential proclamation banning or restricting the entry in US territory by citizens of several countries has a racist background.
The proclamation signed by US President Donald Trump, which includes Cuba among the countries under travel restrictions, damages Cuban family relations, the minister said.
The measure damages personal, professional, academic and cultural exchanges between the two countries, the minister noted and assured that the proclamation counts on the support of anti-Cuba politicians in the US.
Citing national security risks, Donald Trump decided to ban the entry in the US of citizens from 12 nations (Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen). Trump also partially restricted entry to citizens from Cuba, Venezuela, Burundi, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo and Turkmenistan. https://tinyurl.com/yuajbkff
