CAMAGÜEY, Cuba 4 (ACN) The application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) took center stage at the 36th Cuban Radio Festival, under way in this city and attended by more than 200 national and foreign delegates.
The aim of the event is to pool views, exchange experiences, and socialize the current best practices implemented by this means of communication.
In his keynote lecture "Artificial Intelligence in broadcasting: between innovation and identity", Calixto Rodriguez, from El Salvador, said even if AI is a reliable tool that can be used around the clock, it fails to preserve the emotional connection conveyed by, and the spontaneity of, a human voice that tells stories with feelings, a feature that AI cannot possible match.
On his end, the Argentine Matías Castro, representative of FM La Tribu, remarked that he came to the Festival to learn from the Cuban radio, which he referred to as a reference for the region and the world, and to share with the participants what this station does, broadcasts, and investigates, as well as its current challenges.
