Cuban parliamentary authorities visit easternmost province of the country

With the main objective of assessing compliance with the agreement X-97 of the ANPP referred to the Government Program to correct distortions and boost the economy in 2025, the working groups will visit this Friday the territories of El Salvador, San Antonio del Sur, Baracoa and Manuel Tames. 

Some of the control actions of this second day of work include exchanges with the leadership of the Municipal Assemblies of People's Power and the leaderships of their permanent work commissions and visits to agricultural product commercialization centers.

In Baracoa, there will be discussions with the workers and the management of the Agroforestry and Coconut, Fishing, chocolate, productive units and peasants.

In general, in the municipalities, the parliamentary visit will have meetings with the presidents of the People's Councils, delegates of the People's Power, directors of the mass and neighboring organizations and the population in general.

The situation of the plan and budget at the end of the first quarter of the current year, the campaign of Affidavit and Tax Payments and the situation of the fiscal accounts and the results of the audits in 2024 will also be analyzed.

The compliance with the provisions of Law 132 on the Organization and Functioning of the Municipal Assemblies of People's Power, the follow-up of the results of the First Process of Accountability of the Delegates in the current 18th term and the actions carried out in the Program of Attention to Rurality, are other issues subject to control.

On the first day, the commissions of the National Assembly of People's Power focused their work on the municipalities of Guantánamo and Niceto Pérez, and the conclusions of the visit will be made on Saturday, April 26.
