HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 22 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban foreign minister, stressed today the urgency of significantly changing the unsustainable patterns of production and consumption of capitalism, in the face of climate change.
On the occasion of the International Mother Earth Day, the foreign minister reiterated on X the alert about the progressive alteration of the climate and temperatures on the planet.
Climate change, he added in his message, threatens the existence of life and biodiversity.
International Mother Earth Day has been celebrated since 2009, when the United Nations General Assembly designated April 22 as a day to promote harmony with nature and the earth.
