Havana, Apr 10 (ACN) In a post on X, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla reported that he met with Qiu Xiaoqi, China's Special Representative for Latin America and the Caribbean.
During their meeting, held in the context of the IX Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), both officials highlighted the strategic nature of the relations between the two countries, evidenced in the consolidation of their political dialogue, partisan ties and cooperation in multiple areas.
Colombian President Gustavo Petro, who assumed the presidency pro tempore of CELAC on Wednesday, announced that the CELAC-China Forum, a space for dialogue between the countries of the regional bloc and the People’s Republic, will be held on May 13.
