Havana, April 9 (ACN) The Cuban Workers Confederation (CTC) called on Wednesday on all workers to stage a nationwide huge demonstration to mark International Workers’ Day on May 1st including a massive march on Havana’s Revolution Square.
During a press conference, the CTC General Secretary Ulises Guilarte said that the Cuban leadership is aware of the tensions impacting Cuban economy and society caused to a great extent to the US siege.
Guilarte said that bearing the “For Cuba we Jointly Create,” the people will massively participate in local demonstrations throughout the island.
As part of May Day commemorations, international and local activists will carry out voluntary work sessions, sport events and cultural exchanges.
