HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 7 (ACN) The 12th Congress of Scientific-Technical Information and Informatics in Construction (Cicons' 25), to be held May 21-23, will address strategic issues such as communication and digitization in the Cuban context.
Antonio Amaury Medina Morante, vice minister of construction, recently told the Cuban News Agency exclusively that it will be a propitious moment for all economic actors, builders, material industries and investors to exchange on the use of collaborative technologies.
Medina Morante referred to the collaborative work methodology for the creation and management of construction projects -BIM technology-, as a work system with incipient development in design companies, for example, but which has not yet reached the entire sector.
BIM represents up to 30 % efficiency improvement in the production of plans, constructions and in the use of the labor force, hence the importance of convening the different actors to the Congress to link them to the current processes, he said.
He pointed out that Cicons'25 is part of the scientific events of this ministry, and will serve as a preview of the Construction Fair, to be held next year.
The 12th Congress of Scientific-Technical Information and Informatics in Construction will be held at the Havana Convention Center and will include a wide program of lectures, workshops and other modalities.
