Havana, April 1 (ACN) Cuba’s historic commitment to nuclear disarmament was ratified Tuesday by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez as he welcomed Robert Floyd, executive secretary of the Comprehensive Test-Ban-Treaty Organization (CTBTO).
Rodriguez wrote on X that he expressed Cuba’s stance in favor of the comprehensive and effective ban of nuclear tests, based on the humanistic thinking of Revolution leader Fidel Castro.
Floyed arrived in Havana on the invitation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment. He is scheduled to meet directives of several local organizations and entities like the Civil Defense Staff, the Higher Institute of Applied Sciences and Technologies and he will also give a key-note lecture at the Raul Roa Garcia Higher Institute of Foreign Relations.
