Havana, March 6 (ACN) Cuba President Miguel Diaz-Canel visited the westernmost province of Pinar del Rio where he said that the country is undergoing the deterioration of services, severe power outages, but he noted that “we cannot betray the people’s heroism.
Preserving the work of the Cuban Revolution is the main goal, said Diaz-Canel at the end of the working visit to several Pinar del Rio municipalities.
The President stressed the significance of the direct connection between government officials and the people to address local problems and collect opinions which help take action.
He said that “we are living a historically complex moment and we have to connect more with the people to learn from them and make changes.”
The President addressed the quality of services and the keep up of social programs and the appropriate relationship between the state and private sectors.
