VARADERO, Cuba, Mar 5 (ACN) Although a fire quickly put out in a building not used to provide direct services to tourists made headlines Wednesday, the incident has no bearing on the reasons to be proud of this sun-and-beach resort, home to three hotels among Cuba's nominees for the 32nd edition of the prestigious World Travel Awards.
Luis Martínez de Armas, delegate of the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) in the province of Matanzas, said that life goes on as usual in Varadero Beach after the fire that broke out in a facility temporarily used to store supplies without causing any injuries to anyone or damaging any adjacent structure.
Indeed, according to MINTUR’s provincial office, the local hotels Paradisus Varadero, Iberostar Selection Varadero, and Paradisus Princesa del Mar have been nominated in the category of Cuba's Leading Resort 2025, a recognition that testifies to the quality of the exceptional service they offer to their guests.
“We thank our collaborators and all our visitors for their continued support. Together, we keep raising the standards of hospitality in Cuba, and we look forward to your vote and to maintain Varadero as a dream destination”, MINTUR remarked on its webpage.
