HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 5 (ACN) Attended by more than 650 Cuban and foreign delegates, the 10th International Congress on Law Practice “Abogacía 2025”) kicked off in this city with a call to share views and knowledge on how to cope with present and future legal challenges.
Lilia María Hernández Doejó, president of the National Organization of Collective Law Firms (ONBC), remarked that the pre-congress courses and other events made it possible to prepare the participants regarding the management and resolution of legal disputes as the main topic of this Congress intended to discuss the new and changing needs of Law practice using the collective intelligence of the legal community.
She stressed that these goals will contribute to the main purpose and raison d'être of the ONBC, which is to guarantee the rights of individuals and entities to professional counsel in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic.
Among other topics, the Congress will address the use of ICTs for a more efficient management of decision-making and other processes, ways to improve the knowledge of Law among people and within the legal community, and litigation in civil, family, commercial and administrative cases.
The opening session of “Abogacía 2025” featured a keynote lecture by Juan Mendoza Díaz, Doctor of Juridical Sciences and president of the Cuban Society of Procedural Law of the National Union of Cuban Jurists, about the peculiarities of the procedural reform undertaken in the country.
