Diaz Canel presides over Anti-imperialist Forum in Eastern Cuba

 

GUANTÁNAMO, Cuba, Feb 26 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Díaz- Canel Bermúdez is taking part today in the public Anti-imperialist Forum organized in the city of Guantánamo.

Joining the leader, whom a crowd of more than 50,000 local residents gave a big hand, were Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of organization of the Central Committee of the Party; Yoel Pérez García, first secretary of the Party in the province, and provincial governor Alis Azahares Torreblanca.

Díaz Canel returned the greetings of the people of this eastern region, who overflowed the streets since the early morning to go to the city square and participate in a forum in support of national unity, peace and sovereignty and against the hostile U.S. Cuba policy.
