HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 25 (ACN) Government sources in Havana confirm that the lifeless body of Jonathan Oliva, 13 years old, resident of Fabrica Street between Herrera and Santa Felicia, Luyano, 10 de Octubre, Havana, was found Tuesday.
As reported by journalist Lazaro Manuel Alonso on Facebook, since Monday, forces of the Cuban Fire Department, Rescue and Salvage, the National Revolutionary Police, the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources and Havana authorities began searching for him, after he was sucked in during the floods that occurred that day.
The press release conveys a condolence message to his parents and other relatives, who have already been informed of the unfortunate event.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Via Blanca and Villanueva, in the municipality of La Habana Vieja, when the infant was walking along the flooded area after the heavy rains, contrary to the warnings issued by the Civil Defense, and did not notice the presence of a culvert, which with the force of the water sucked him in.
