Diaz Canel checked socioeconomic investments in the country's central province

 SANTO DOMINGO, Villa Clara, Cuba, Feb 20 (ACN) Investments of social impact in three municipalities of Villa Clara were checked today by Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the country, who is on a day-long visit to this central province.

The tour began in Quemado de Güines where he checked the constructive state and the services provided by the 8 de abril polyclinic and in exchange with a community of 1,080 neighbors he was informed about the main problems of the population.

Corralillo was the second municipality visited by the head of state, where he reviewed the potentialities for the grain production in the territory.

Yoanis Gonzalez Hernandez, first secretary of the PCC in the municipality, explained the strategy for the development of the locality and the main actions for food sovereignty.

In the lands of Santo Domingo, the president verified on site the execution of the Bermejal Photovoltaic Park which will have 43,900 panels and will generate more than 21 MW to the National Electro-energy System.

Eduardo Enrique Perez Reyes, director of the electric company in the province, detailed the synchronization schedule of the five parks planned in the territory and ratified the benefits it will bring, including the saving of approximately 30 thousand tons per year of fossil fuel.

It is also evident in several farms visited the will to increase the production of food to the people with a diversification according to the needs of the people, and 1,593 tons planned this year in 10 caballerias of land with a mini processing factory included.

The first secretary was accompanied during the fruitful day by the member of the Political Bureau Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the PCC, as well as the main authorities of Villa Clara.
