HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 18 (ACN) The 3rd Business Forum for Publishers and Book Professionals was opened during the 33rd Havana International Book Fair, at the San Carlos de la Cabaña Fortress.
The event was dedicated on this occasion to Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the publishing process, which in addition to being a novel tool, transforms the way publishers create and introduce contents from the generation of ideas to their personalization.
Yamile Perez Lavin, vice president of the Cuban Book Institute, stressed that it is crucial to maintain the balance between the efficiency of technology, creativity and human authenticity, and precisely, the Forum is presented as an opportunity for publishers and the future of the technical sector in the largest literary festival in the country.
Perez Lavin urged to harness together the potential of AI while preserving the creative and artistic essence of literature.
The Business Forum for Publishers and Book Professionals was created as a necessity of the publishing sector and has quickly established itself as the ideal meeting for negotiation and training on new trends in the publishing market, she added.
During the meeting, Rosalia Peinador and Jose Luis Gonzalez Macias, representing Spain's Ediciones Menguantes, announced that the European nation is taking on small independent projects that are revitalizing the sector with different proposals.
The 3rd edition of the Business Forum offers a day of editorial networking, with new trends, reading experiences and interactive learning, in addition to sharing knowledge and strategies for success in the publishing business.
