International Congress Pedagogia 2025 strengthens unity for people's wellbeing

 HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 14 (ACN) Educators attending the closing session of the 19th International Congress Pedagogia 2025 called to strengthen the will to build common agendas that allow the countries to advance in social welfare, quality of life, economic growth and sustainable development.

From the Havana Convention Center, they united in a single voice to transmit the importance of promoting these practices on the basis of democracy, equity, social justice and human rights of Latin American and Caribbean people.

Xaviel Arrue Pinto, professor and researcher at the " Jose Maceo Grajales" Pre-University Vocational Institute of Exact Sciences in Guantanamo, said that the main theme of Pedagogia 2025 was "Education, Science and Innovation for a Sustainable Human Development".
Based on this axis, experiences in educational practice and research results were the object of reflection and debate in order to advance the quality of education and teacher training, he added.

Arrue Pinto emphasized as part of the common declaration of the participants, that there will be no freedom, democracy, peace or development without quality education and a culture within the reach of all.

He also insisted on strengthening Latin American and Caribbean public schools to guarantee equity and efficiency in educational services and on the need to join efforts with civil society in the gradual reduction and eradication of digital barriers, as well as in the guidance of artificial intelligence.

During the event, the work of educators from several provinces was recognized and awards were given to the outstanding stands at the exhibition fair associated with the event.

Susely Morfa Gonzalez, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and head of the Department of Attention to the Social Sector, the deputy prime ministers of the country, Ines Maria Chapman Waugh and Eduardo Martinez Diaz; Naima Ariatne Trujillo Barreto, Minister of Education; Walter Baluja, head of Higher Education, and other leaders of the Party, the Government, and various organizations of the country presided over the event.
