HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 14 (ACN) A framework agreement for academic and scientific collaboration was signed by the Ministry of Finance and Prices (MFP) and the University of Havana (UH), for applied research, professional practices, training and introduction of the results of science in economics and public finances.
Vladimir Regueiro, head of the MFP, and PhD in Sciences Miriam Nicado, rector of the university, signed the document, which will be valid for five years and is part of the efforts of the aforementioned organization to mobilize the innovative and academic potential present in various institutions and economic actors.
Similar agreements will be established with the universities of Artemisa, Pinar del Rio and Villa Clara, which are strengths and potentialities to materialize projects of mutual interest, links with students, feedback for the generation of public policies, and commitments on the road to active and viable solutions.
Accordingly, the framework agreement between the UH and the MFP identifies four levels of joint collaboration: undergraduate and graduate professional training, science and innovation, and the provision of services through contracting.
Actions in the academic sphere include internships for students, course and diploma work in MFP facilities, and in subjects mutually agreed upon by both parties; as well as the preparation of UH professionals to teach the necessary subjects.
In turn, the University of Havana will encourage the participation of officials from that ministry in postgraduate, diploma, specialty, master's and doctorate courses, as well as in thesis tutorials.
It will also assume the teaching categorization of professionals defined by the agency who meet the requirements established in the corresponding Regulations.
