HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 13 (ACN) Homero Acosta Alvarez, secretary of the National Assembly of People's Power, met with members of the European and Canadian diplomatic corps at Havana’s Capitol Building (seat of the Cuban Parliament).
Mr. Acosta highlighted to his guests the ties that Cuba has long developed with their nations, “which are opposed to the inhumane U.S. blockade".
He also stressed to them that the parliamentary relations between Cuba and their countries play a key role in the creation of bridges of understanding and mutual cooperation.
“These links”, he said, “facilitate a free-flowing exchange of ideas and views that brings nations closer together in a global context where dialogue and cooperation are essential to address common challenges”.
