HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 6 (ACN) Sixty-three years after Executive Order 3447 became effective and imposed the U.S. blockade of Cuba, Havana university students will participate this evening in a large anti-imperialist encampment, the first of others to take place across the country this month.
The main event will be held at Ciudad Escolar Libertad, formerly the Columbia Military Barracks, with several workshops to discuss the effects of the said inhumane policy, cultural colonization, the new scenarios of unconventional warfare against Cuba, and the genocide perpetrated by the Zionist forces in Palestine.
Convened by the Young Communist League, the gathering will produce a new declaration of Cuban youth, endorsed by representatives of various economic and social sectors, to express their opposition to the aggressiveness of U.S. imperialism and reassert their wish to live in peace.
