HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 29 (ACN) The Youth Forum "With all and for the good of all", in which young communists from Cuba, Paraguay, Türkiye and Portugal will share views and discuss the relevance of José Martí’s thoughts as a beacon and guide for the new Latin American generations, will be held today as part of the VI International Conference For World Balance, currently under way in Havana.
Also featured in the day’s program are the debates of the Solidarity and Peace Commission about U.S.-Cuba relations and the way the U.S. blockade violates international law, as well as the International Meeting of Martian Chairs, which will dedicate a space to the thoughts of Armando Hart Dávalos, the spirit behind this Conference.
In addition, the French journalist and professor Ignacio Ramonet will present the keynote lecture “Post-media society and the end of the masses” and sit on a panel dedicated to Martí’s influence on Fidel Castro along with renowned intellectuals such as Pedro Pablo Rodriguez, from the Center for Martí Studies; Rene Gonzalez Barrios, director of the Fidel Castro Center; Brazilian Dominican and intellectual Frei betto, and Leonid Savin, president of the Moscow-based Fidel Castro Ruz Foundation.
Pope Francis sent a message to the participants in which he emphasized that hope is one of the values that distinguish this open and pluralistic event.
