Havana, Jan 24 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel welcomed Brazil’s Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira, who kicked off a working visit to Cuba on Friday.
During the meeting, Diaz-Canel conveyed his greetings to Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, while the two sides addressed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation relations.
“We were invited by Lula to attend an important Brazil-Caribbean Summit,” wrote the Cuban head of state on X.
The Brazilian Foreign Minister also held official talks with his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodriguez.
Brazil and Cuba share excellent bilateral relations in different fields. Last November Brazil shipped humanitarian aid to assist Cubans affected by two hurricanes which inflicted heavy damage on two Cuban provinces.
