HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 22 (ACN) In a post on X after checking the results of the Strategic Exercise Bastion 2024, Miguel Díaz-Canel, chair of the National Defense Council, praised the both this drill and the huge turnout of young Cubans at the University Student Bastion organized days before.
During his review, the leader stressed the need to work harder in every structure of the national defense system to bolster the materialization of the doctrine of the War of All the People.
Scheduled to be held until January 24, Bastion 2024 is intended to train the chiefs and commanders in charge of national and regional defense, improve the country's combat readiness, and prepare the troops and the population to deal with any enemy action.
