HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 19 (ACN) In a post on X, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez assured that the world is waiting for a serious commitment to peace in Gaza that puts an end to the genocide against the Palestinian people.
According to official figures, since October 7, 2023, when the new escalation of violence was unleashed in a conflict that has lasted more than 75 years, Israel has killed more than 45,000 Palestinians and left more than 108,000 wounded.
The Palestinian National Authority completed all the preparations to assume its responsibilities in that region following the truce agreed between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), which came into effect Sunday.
