HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 14 (ACN) Come Sunday 19, the Cuban fiction show Gatos, Máscaras y Sombras (Cats, Masks and Shadows), written and directed by Elena Palacios, will be released on national television.
In statements to the press, director Palacios said that Gatos… has 12 episodes covering six different but intertwined stories about gender violence, a topic she has addressed in the past but not as deeply or extensively.
At the premiere of the show in a movie theater in Havana on Monday, Ms. Palacios insisted on presenting this issue on TV and in mainstream media as long as the danger of violence exists.
