Havana, Jan 14 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel described as correct but late and limited the announced US decision on Tuesday to remove the island from the US Department of State list of alleged states sponsors of terrorism.
Diaz-Canel, First Secretary of Cuba’s Communist Party, wrote on X https://tinyurl.com/yc7wkzdm that the US blockade is still there as well as extreme measures adopted in 2017 to kill Cuban economy by inflicting hardship on the Cuban people.
In another X message, Diaz-Canel thanked all those who contributed to achieve the US decision.
Cuba should have never been on the list of States Sponsors of Terrorism, said the head of state and he noted that such list along another two measures adopted by Washington, has translated into a high cost to the island and the Cuban families.
The President said that Cuba will continue to denounce and face the economic war and the interference-oriented actions, misinformation and discrediting campaigns backed with US Federal funds.
The Cuban head of state said that Cuba will not renounce to civilized and respectful relations with the United States.
