HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 14 (ACN) The most awaited event every year by lovers of Premium cigars in the world: the Habano Festival, will hold its 25th edition February 24-28 in this capital city, and Cuba is getting ready for its quality and prestige.
A wide-ranging program of activities will be organized for specialists, distributors, businessmen, media representatives and aficionados from different nations who are expected to attend the event.
The Organizing Committee announced the Habanos World Challenge Contest, a trade fair and an international seminar with attractive lectures, as well as visits to factories and plantations and exclusive pairings.
The Habanos, S.A. corporation, sponsor of the event, is also taking advantage of the occasion to present the latest developments in its operations as a world leader in the commercialization of Premium cigars.
The company's portfolio comprises 27 handmade brands under the Protected Designation of Origin (P.D.O.), including the famous Cohiba, Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, Partagas, Hoyo de Monterrey and H. Upmann.
As it usually happens at the final ceremony of Habanos festivals, there will be an auction of exclusive humidors designed and created by renowned international artists and artisans, with the purpose of donating them to Cuban public health.
