HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 8 (ACN) Cuban authorities recall today the arrival in Havana of the victorious Rebel Army, led by Fidel Castro, after traveling almost the entire country in the so-called Freedom Caravan.
In a post on X, President Miguel Díaz-Canel referred to the emotions aroused by the reenactment of the event that took place sixty-six years ago.
Likewise, Esteban Lazo, president of the National Assembly of People's Power and of the Council of State, evoked January 8, 1959, when the historic leader of the Revolution warned: "Let us not fool ourselves into believing that in the future everything will be easy; perhaps in the future everything will be more difficult".
On his end, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero stressed that a sea of people flooded the streets of the capital city to celebrate the triumph of the Revolution.
