HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 8 (ACN) In a post on X, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel lamented the fire that broke in an army facility containing war material in the province of Holguín and offered his sympathies to the families of the 13 persons who disappeared as a result of the explosions that took place in the premises.
Likewise, the President assured that the government is paying full attention to find the cause of what happened there.
A note from the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) informed on Tuesday about explosions in a weapons and ammunition depot in the north of the province and pointed out that 361 people who live nearby were protected.
FAR reported later on that 13 people had disappeared as a result of the unfortunate event and stressed that an investigation is under way on the scene of the event.
