HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 7 (ACN) The ceremony marking the 66th anniversary of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) is being held today at the provincial unit of the PNR Patrol Brigade, headed by Miguel Diaz-Canel, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the country.
As reported by the Presidency on X, Manuel Marrero Cruz, Cuban Prime Minister, and Major General Lazaro Alberto Alvarez Casas, head of the Ministry of the Interior, will also participate in the ceremony.
The PNR was officially established on January 5, 1959 with the main mission of preserving public order, public tranquility and road safety.
