HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 6 (ACN) The Havana Botanical Garden "Quinta de los Molinos" will host this Thursday, January 9, a conversation with the team of the Russian club "Five Oceans", which is in Cuba as part of an expedition around the world.
According to the organizers, the marine expeditionaries will share amazing stories about trips to the most remote corners of the world, as well as their impressions about the impressive cultures of different countries and their nature.
This inter-oceanic gathering is a platform for cultural dialogue, which emphasizes the role of the ocean as a nexus to unite people, cultures and countries, Quinta de los Molinos highlights on its official Facebook page.
The present "Five Oceans" expedition corresponds to the period 2024-2026, began last November in Tenerife, and arrived in Cuba through the port of Cienfuegos on December 21.
The information specifies that in the next few days they will continue their journey through the Caribbean and Latin America until crossing the Panama Canal in March; they will continue through the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean and will culminate in September 2026 in the Mediterranean Sea.
The club was founded in 2021 as a community of people who love the seas and oceans, who explore them and help Russian science to study the problems of the world's oceans.
They organize trips around the world exploring the oceans on a catamaran named "Five Oceans".
