Cuban airport updates its information system

CAMAGUEY, Cuba, Jan 6 (ACN) The small company MOROPO S.U.R.L., from the eastern central province of Camagüey, is working on the modernization of the passenger information system at the Ignacio Agramonte International Airport, through a digital solution of the private entity itself, which replaces software imports.
The project includes the installation of a group of screens within the environment for passenger information, the dynamic management of check-in, which used to be done manually, and advertising services for third parties and the entity itself in common areas of the terminal.

The transportation institution has considered incorporating the digital signage approach, which is used worldwide with great success, and for which MOROPO specialists made the pertinent adaptations, according to the needs and objectives of the Camagüey airfield.

Miguel Angel Torres Perez, executive director of the small company, told the Cuban News Agency that with these transformations the airport will have a capacity to adapt and manage information almost automatically and a high degree of customization.

Among the benefits offered by the digital signage platform, he stressed, are also the possibilities of changing the image, the way it is transmitted and adapt to new situations.

In the case of passenger check-in, it will be the first automatic system of its kind in the country that will operate autonomously, based on the information generated by the operational work, in real time and in a reliable manner, Torres Perez added.

MOROPO expands its services based on the VIDHERE signaling platform, a general purpose software that they developed after an internal innovation process in the company, and that is adaptable to different scenarios.

They offer services such as custom software development, the development of mobile applications on different platforms, desktop applications, server applications, 3D virtual environments, augmented reality, working with database systems, websites, virtual stores, and those associated with the sustainability of software in operation.
